Our story
Common Grounds Kape was created with one simple goal: to bring people together.
The word “Kape” comes from the Mayan language and means coffee, honoring the owner's cultural heritage and Belize's rich Mayan roots while celebrating the simple idea that coffee has a unique way of bringing people together.
We officially opened our doors on May 1, 2026. But our food story began earlier, when our family operated Snacks Delight, a breakfast spot known for familiar Belizean morning favorites. Today, many of those same breakfast items are served again at Common Grounds Kape — connecting the past with something new.
Proudly woman-owned and rooted in Belize, Common Grounds Kape is about family, culture and creating a welcoming place for friends, students, professionals, families and visitors.
